MART is proud to support the New York premier of Theatre of Dreams by Hofesh Schecter Company at Powerhouse: International, A New Arts Festival
Hofesh Shechter and his inimitable dancers take the audience on a wild headfirst dive into the theatre of dreams. They delve deep into the world of fantasy and the subconscious, revealing fears, hopes, desires and a myriad of emotions that penetrates not only the dreaming mind but also our waking thoughts. The dancers’ bodies bring to life on stage this interplay between poetry and reality, accompanied by live musicians and Shechter’s trademark cinematic composition.
Returning to New York after performances on Broadway, Alvin Ailey, and the Metropolitan Opera, acclaimed choreographer Hofesh Shechter continues his pursuit of art that moves us beyond reason in a stunning new work.
In a milestone season for Shechter’s work in New York, Theatre of Dreams follows the New York premiere of Red Carpet (with Paris Opera Ballet) at New York City Center.
