The premiere of a new work by Israeli choreographer Tamir Golan. Co-Produced by MART
The sheepish casual vibe between people who’ve shared an emotional farewell, wordlessly agreeing to pretend that they’ve already moved on. Not even trying to quench the flames anymore, but lighting other flames around their heads just hoping to contain the damage.
Tamir Golan, born in 1999, graduated from Ramat Hasharon’s Alon High School for the Arts. He served in the IDF as an Outstanding Dancer while studying at The Maslool – School Of Contemporary Dance, Bikurey Ha’Itim Center Tel Aviv-Jaffa. In 2021, Tamir participated in the 1|2|3 program for emerging choreographers at Suzanne Dellal Centre, where he created three new pieces. His creation Oxytocin earned him the Outstanding Creator Award in the duet stage, with which he also participated in the RIDCC competition in Rotterdam. Under the framework of the program’s international tours, Tamir was chosen to participate with his works at the Holland Dance Festival (Den Haag, Holland) and MILANoLTRE (Milan, Italy) and RETE IN DANZA (Vicenza, Italy). In January 2024, he created a new work for the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.
