Exquisite, highly intelligent entertainment — this is how the Swedish press wrote about the premiere of Autodance, created by the famous Israeli choreographer Sharon Eyal together with Guy Behar for the Gothenburg Ballet Company in 2018. According to the creator, the work is woven from the very essence of the movement in all its purity and clarity. The dancers appear to be asexual and the focus shifts to the movements of their legs. In the space of Autodance, dance, the technique of its implementation and music in the genre of “techno” organically merge: this is a solid, visually rich and precisely constructed spectacle.
In 2022, this performance takes part in the competition of the National Theater Award “Golden Mask” in the nominations “Ballet/Performance”, “Ballet /female role” (Oksana Kardash).
