Akram Khan is working on his full-length duet for classical ballet dancers, inspired by an Indian epic, seen through a contemporary lens, and reflecting on the ominous presence of AI in the near future. MART produces this outstanding production that will be performed by remarkable artists — Olga Smirnova, Principal with Dutch National Ballet, and Jeffrey Cirio, Principal with Boston Ballet. The world premiere of the work is planned for 2026.

The Research and Development takes place at the unique UNESCO World Heritage Site in Italy — Orsolina28. Orsolina Art Foundation, a co-producer of the work, has transformed into a creative laboratory where artistic ideas are born and brought to life.
